Children meet AI as a helpful tool, learn what it can and cannot do, and learn the first rule for life: a human is always in charge. Wonder first, caution built in gently.
How to ask, and when to doubt
Children learn our COSTAR framework for asking AI well, and learn to spot when AI is confidently wrong, biased, or making things up. They practise checking an answer before trusting it.
Make with it, and use it ethically
Older children move from using AI to making with it, writing, building simple projects, and thinking hard about honesty, privacy and where AI should and should not be used.

The most important part of the course is not how to use AI. It is how to doubt it well.
Hallucinations
Children learn that AI can be confidently wrong, and that a smooth answer is not the same as a true one.
Bias
They learn that AI can carry the biases of the world it learned from, and to read its answers with that in mind.
Privacy
They learn to protect their own information and never to share personal details with an AI tool.
Verification
They learn to check what AI says against a real source before they believe it or use it.
On safety: our sessions are always educator-led. We do not ask children to create personal accounts or to share personal information with AI tools, and we use age-appropriate tools. Safety is taught, not assumed.

What is Knowledge Capsules' AI literacy programme?
A story-led programme that teaches school children what AI is, what it can and cannot do, and how to use it well and safely. Before a single prompt we teach one idea: human intelligence is greater than artificial intelligence. AI is a co-pilot, not a pilot. It is built with Canva for Education.
What age is it for, and what does each age learn?
It runs from Class 3, about age eight, and extends to teachers and parents, ages 8 to 80. Younger children learn what AI is and that a human is always in charge. Middle years learn how to ask well, using our COSTAR framework, and how to spot when AI is wrong. Older children learn to make with AI and to use it ethically. From the 2026-27 session a curriculum on AI and computational thinking is being introduced from Class 3 (Ministry of Education and CBSE), and we were already teaching it.
Does it teach responsible and safe use of AI?
Yes, this is the heart of it. Children learn that AI can be confidently wrong (a hallucination), that it can carry bias, that their privacy matters, and that they must verify what it says before trusting it. In short, we teach children to question the machine before they trust its answer.
Is it safe for children? What about data and privacy?
Sessions are always educator-led. We do not ask children to create personal accounts or to share personal information with AI tools, and we use age-appropriate tools. Teaching privacy and safety is part of the lesson, not an afterthought.
Do children need coding experience or their own devices?
No. We teach thinking before typing. It begins with ideas and questions, not code, and works in an ordinary classroom. Children who want to go further learn to build simple things.
What do children actually make?
They move from being passive users to makers, from writing their own stories with AI as a co-writer to building simple apps and projects. Each child finishes with something they made and can show.
