The Sunday Quiz is a live, national, inter-school quiz that is free for every child, whether or not their school is a KC partner. It runs every Sunday at 11 AM on Zoom, is played in real time on Mentimeter, and is streamed on YouTube for anyone who cannot get a seat.
It works the way KBC does. Fastest fingers first, no lifelines, a fresh set of questions each week built from the biggest stories of the last seven days. Rajeev Poddar hosts, drawing on a library of 300+ quiz decks that between them cover nearly every major event of the last four years. Every quiz opens with a word cloud so each child is welcomed by name and school, and closes warm, never on a stumper.
Some weeks it opens with a familiar face, a commentator, a poet, a filmmaker. And for a handful of children, a Sunday morning here has been the first step to a national stage.
We call it KC to KBC. It is not a slogan, it has actually happened.
A Class 5 child from The Heritage School, Kolkata, who plays the Sunday Quiz, cleared every round of KBC Junior and sat opposite Amitabh Bachchan himself. The episode aired nationally on Sony TV.
He is not alone. Another Heritage child from the same free quiz reached the HP Smart Champs national finals, streamed on Jio Hotstar, and finished second in the country, taking home ₹5 Lakh and a set of laptops.

On International Yoga Day, the quiz paused for something quieter. A yoga teacher joined Aditya live on Zoom and, for a few minutes, a few hundred children across the country stretched, folded and breathed together from their own rooms.
Then, calmer and sharper, they played.
Spells, houses, Quidditch, creatures and the whole wizarding world, turned into one inter-school quiz. Children logged in with Hogwarts backgrounds and house scarves, and the room has never been more electric. It is the one every child asks for by name.
